What is a chemical pot feeder?
A chemical pot feeder is installed on closed loop water system and are used to introduce the chiller chemicals into the water system or they are used to shock treat the system with cooling water biocides.

Who is the manufacture?
Neptune manufactures the "VTF" and "BDF" by pass feeders.

How do these work?
These are easy to work. The corrosion inhibitor chemical (dry or liquid) are poured into the top or they are used to shock the system with an effective biocide. The cap is tighten. You open the valves and the chemical is flushed into the system. These should be installed on a side water stream.

Which one do I purchase?
The larger the water volume you have, the larger volume pot feeder you should purchase. This will save time when more chemical needs to be added to the system.

What is the differnce between a Neptune "DBF" and a Neptune "VTF" By Pass Feeder?

• The Neptune "DBF" Series has a bottom "out" feature and demountable leg extensions and a full bottom drain.
• The Neptune “VTF” Pot Feeder sits on the ground and has a bottom "in". The VTF is most popular and economical of the 4" side by-pass feeders available from Neptune.

Do these By Pass Feeders come with a Filter Bag?
No, but an optional Filter Bag Kit and replacement bags may be added to your order.

All 2 and 5 gallon units are in stock and ship within 24 hours! Do not add the Filter Bag Kit for the VTF-12HP or DBF-12HP. These units are too large for the filter bag option.

How do I install a Neptune By-Pass Feeder.

Neptune DBF-2HP, DBF-5HP, VTF-2HP, & VTF-5HP units are Stocked & Shipped daily from Atlanta, Georgia and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Daily shipping cut off time is generally 1pm, based on the local time zone for same day shipping. If you need the product to ship today, please indicate so in the notes section upon check out. We will email mail you ASAP if we can meet your demands.

4. If you do NOT have an Fedex Account number, we offer overnight delivery for this product. The cost is $100 for Next Day 10:30AM per unit. Enter your order as normal and enter your 3 or 4 digit security code in the notes section with your shipping requirements. You are done. We will email you ASAP.
